| Bio: | About time I made use of this, right? (thanks Petey!) I love telling stories, and with the transition I am in right now, I have some I want to share. Much more than I can say in a phone call, email or a 5 minute party conversation before I get interrupted, you know how it is. Of course I have occasional rants & lamentations, but who doesn't? Read on if you want to. The transition: I've discovered Bedside Harp. I love this program and have met some amazing people. I'm currently working toward becoming a Certified Harp Therapist (CHT) and after that, Certified Master of Harp Therapy (CMHT). Everyone who knows me knows that I play the harp, and now I am playing (as an intern) at Valley Hospital (Ridgewood, NJ) for patients, staff and visitors. Getting involved with Bedside Harp is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I have found that doing this work is FAR more rewarding than any wedding, restaurant, or coffee house gig I have EVER done!! Interestingly, I haven't gotten that many calls for paying gigs lately, and I am taking that as a sign. In addition to the internship hours, there are books to read, papers to write, (I'm done with the modules). Oh yes, and there's my day job at UBS in NYC. The people I work with are nice, thank God. In addition to that, I like to bellydance, travel, read, write, watch movies, hang with friends. | |
